British tennis star Emma Raducanu ends this year's campaign and will keep trainer into the 2026 season.

Raducanu reached the third round in three out of four Grand Slams during the season.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain will not compete in the last two tournaments of the year due to a health issue that has affected her for the last week and a half.

At 22 years old had planned to participate in events in Asia but chose to travel back to regain her health before starting her preparations for 2026.

Her upcoming training will involve coach Francisco Roig, as both individuals have decided to continue collaborating in 2026.

Raducanu had her blood pressure taken in her opening round versus Ann Li in the Wuhan tournament and withdrew when trailing 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.

She again required a doctor's assessment at the Ningbo Open this week, where she fell in a three-set match to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in the first round.

She was also playing far from freely in the third set in the match with Zhu due to a lower back issue that has affected her at times this year.

These outcomes meant an encouraging season, in which she climbed into the world's top 30 for the first time since her previous ranking, finished with a trio of defeats.

Raducanu had three match points then was defeated by Pegula in the third round in last month's Beijing event.

She secured 28 victories in the current season and made it to the semi-final round in the Washington tournament, but the highlight of her season was at March's Miami Open.

The British number one reached the quarter-finals of a premier WTA event, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed during the tournament prior to a loss in three sets to the world number four Pegula.

Her coach was Mark Petchey as coach between Miami and Wimbledon, with Francisco Roig stepping in ahead of the US Open.

The original arrangement with Rafael Nadal's former coach was until the end of the season but they will keep working together, with a training block pencilled in for the end of the year.

She mentioned that her three-day trial with Roig post-Wimbledon was like a "covert operation" as they aimed to maintain secrecy.

She came very close to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at the first competition with Roig in Cincinnati during August.

The coach also accompanied Raducanu in New York, where she reached the third round prior to losing to Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon winner.
